Amanda & Christian - Wedding
Yesterday I had the privilege of photographing Amanda's and Christian's big day at the Mountain View Manor. Admittedly, I'm always a little nervous for a summer wedding. Will it be 100 degrees and blazing sun all day? Will the outdoor ceremony be moved inside due to rain? You never know--so I was pleasantly surprised when the only rain we experienced was during my drive to the venue (good luck!), the day was mostly overcast with big clouds providing shade, the full sun peeked out just a bit during the ceremony, and then we were blessed with the most incredible and unexpected sunset. It was the icing on the cake of a perfect day--scroll to the end for the show-stopping sunset!
But the weather wasn't the only thing providing a bit of anxiety leading up to the wedding day. Two days before, my second shooter backed out due to illness leaving me scrambling for a replacement. I called Amanda and Christian to prep them for the worst-case scenario, but luckily @Tarakearsingphotography came to the rescue and I'm so incredibly grateful for her presence, warm personality, and professionalism! From a photography standpoint, the day was a breeze!
Lastly, I just want to comment on the magic that is Amanda and Christian. I feel like a broken record saying this, but my couples are always the kindest, most genuine people I have the honor of meeting. Amanda and Christian are two of the best! Their tears upon seeing each other for the first time, their joy as they read their original vows, the touches of personality throughout (peep the velvet jacket and sequined jumpsuit
)--everything about them makes you happy to know them! The smiles on the faces of their family and friends is all the evidence you need to know how truly wonderful they are!
Please join me in congratulating the new Mr. & Mrs.! May you spend the rest of your lives loving, laughing, and arguing about whether "Encanto" really is the best Disney movie ever made (spoiler: it is!).
