I fell in love with photography after the birth of my first child. I was living in a small town in PA, hours away from my closest family members and friends, and I started taking photos as a way to include them in my daughter's life. What started as daily snapshots soon became elaborate, orchestrated set-ups, Pinterest boards, and a prop closet! My mother-in-law, always a keen observer, suggested that I pursue this passion--in fact, she bought me a subscription to a professional photography magazine when I was armed with just an iPhone!

Many things have happened since those early days. My mother-in-law passed away after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. My husband and I welcomed another child into our family--a beautiful baby boy.  And, much to my great happiness, we relocated back to the Hudson Valley. Then, my sweet husband, watering the seed his mother planted, bought me my first professional DSLR--and it's been full steam ahead for me since that moment.

There's a fabulous quote by Marc Riboud that says, "Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second." I started my photography business because of this desire to "savor life intensely." I love capturing the small moments, the special moments, the moments that remind us why we are here on this fragile planet and what life is all about. My love for photography started with the birth of my daughter, but it was the tragic passing of my mother-in-law that inspired me to make the leap and pursue my passion professionally. They taught me that life, in all its beauty and splendor, is also short and it needs to be documented, preserved, and cherished. <3
